Martin Peters

Martin is a Chartered Engineer with both Engineers Ireland (EI) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). Following graduation from DIT Bolton Street in 1996, Martin studied for a Masters Degree in Civil, Environmental & Transport Engineering at Trinity College. In 2003 Martin returned to post graduate studies and in June 2004 was awarded, with distinction, a Post Graduate Diploma in Urban & Rural Planning including modules on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).  In 2019 Martin became a Member of the Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation.

Following graduation Martin worked for DIT as a researcher on Structural Engineering projects in the Timber Development Centre.  Martin then took up a role in private consultancy and has since worked in private practice delivering infrastructure projects throughout Ireland.  Martin has gained valuable experience of the construction and development sector over the last 22 years.  He has gained experience on all types of infrastructure projects including large scale greenfield developments and brownfield redevelopment.  Martin has worked on projects including industrial, commercial and retail developments and is experienced in preparation of EIS as project lead and as a team member as well as Transport Assessments and Technical reviews and site due diligence assessments.  Martin is leading MPA’s involvement in Adapt 18 School Programme.
