Mixed Use Development, Celbridge

This project involved the construction of a new mixed use development consisting of Retail Park and Office Development at Celbridge, Co. Kildare. The accommodation consisted of some 4,800m2 of mixed use space including anchor retail tenant, retail/commercial units with associated offices and stand alone office / consulting rooms. The project also included the construction of new signal controlled access junction along with upgraded cycle and pedestrian facilities along the R403 Dublin road. The site development included some 160 car park spaces, delivery yard, dock leveller and truck parking.

The buildings are a mix of single storey double height buildings and two storey buildings. The structural scheme involved the use of braced steel frames using concrete shear walls and cores and steel portal frames. The drainage scheme use sustainable systems including permeable paving and infiltration devices. The early involvement of an anchor tennant ensured a fast tracked programme and requried excellent communication project management skills.
