St. Theresa’s Hospital, Clogheen

This project involves alterations and construction of a 140m² extension which will include a link corridor to the existing building, new wards, nurses station, store and associated facilities including new standalone energy building.

This project is being carried out on a live Non-Acute campus and issues that have to be dealt with include restricted contractors access due to space and working time limitations, traffic restrictions (ensuring adjacent staff and patients car parking are not effected), noise restrictions to the existing users of the campus not disturbed and maintenance of existing live underground and overground services during the works. The project includes for load bearing masonry which is externally insulated, there is a steel and timber roof structure with zinc cladding.
