James Stephens GAA Club, Kilkenny

This project involved the development of a new 16 hectare site for GAA Club Facility at Kells Road in Kilkenny. The facility involved the development of four number full sized pitches as training area and junior pitch as well as car parking, access road, clubhouse and dressing rooms. MPA were involved from concept through to construction including a considerable planning process. MPA were involved in the construction stage providing all engineering services including project management & PSDP for the pitch development and site development works.

This project involved the provision of new storm water systems including infiltration basins, foul water drainage connections to onsite treatment plant and polishing filter. All power and comms services including diversions of 3 phase ESB lines and relocation of services underground. The project involved a significant amount of cut and fill to develop the site and significant design work was required in relation to integration of pitch drainage and storm water management systems for the site.
