Design & Assigned Certifier services were introduced in 2014 following the implementation of the Building Control Amendment Regulations (BCaR) under these regulations there is an obligation on building owners to appoint competent and suitably qualified professionals to undertake the roles of Design & Assigned Certifier to ensure that buildings are designed and constructed in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Building Regulations. Building Owners, Designers and Builders are required by the legislation to Certify that works have been designed and constructed to the required standards.
This new more intensive system of monitoring and control of building works required under the regulations is set out in the Code of Practice for Inspecting and Certifying Buildings and Works. We are experienced and qualified to provide Design & Assigned Certifier services to ensure compliance with the BCaR Regulations and the Code of Practice.
